Overview
Shoppers Digital lives within the Marketing OperationsLoblaw Agency team at Loblaw Companies Limited and is focused on the Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix digital brand presence. We are looking for a senior marketing professional to join us and lead the digital component of tier one digital marketing campaigns for our various lines of business within the organization. This role reports to the Director of Digital at Shoppers Drug MartLoblaw Agency and has oversight over contractors.
You are an energetic and well-seasoned marketing professional with experience excellent skills in in project management, communication, strategy and data analytics. You are passionate about your craft and the space and are continuously exploring and implementing new trends, technologies and digital experiences to increase Customer experience while supporting business campaigns and goals. You will be responsible for leading the team in all aspects of the project development lifecycle from ideation, use cases, development and QC, and post-analysis. You will be working with marketing peers and leaders, the digital development team, agencies and other business stakeholders to help transform the Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix digital experiences and further solidify our leadership within the retail categories of health and pharmacy, convenience and beauty.
Primary Responsibilities
- Digital Marketing lead. Manage all phases of the implementation of assigned digital development projects and initiatives for marketing, category leads and digital teams. Lead user flow development, project requirements gathering, planning, estimating and communication in conjunction with agency partners, the digital team and other departments as required. Track Document the overall team schedules in order to ensure on time, on budget execution of project deliverables. Implement and enforce brand standards and processes to enable success.
- Strategy Development. Working independently and also with various brand leads and the digital team to develop strategies and POVs to improve Customer experience, increase revenue and/or increase operational efficiency in our digital channels. Development of these strategies would include data analysis (Google Analytics), research, storytelling, stakeholder interviews, KPI setting, presenting and reporting.
- Digital Brand Development. In partnership with the creative and content team as well as brand colleagues, contribute to the development and operation of the overall content calendar with an eye on SEO and Customer best practices.

Skills
This position requires a strong team player that is committed to business results and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while interfacing with all levels within an organization. The candidate will have experience in either a digital marketing department or a digital agency.
- Thorough understanding of digital development which involves complex technical and data considerations
- Proven leadership
- Experience with designing and consistently implementing project management and quality assurance principals and best practices
- Understanding of digital trends, user experience and internet technologies
- Experience developing web, mobile and email channels
- Experience developing POVs, business cases using data, research and some financial analysis
- Self-motivated with excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment with ability to complete a high volume of work quickly while maintaining quality
- Strong client and customer service management skills
- Experience with the following is preferred: SEO, SEM, GMB, SFMC, Google Console, onsite search technologies, ratings and reviews and, local inventory ads, content planning and content strategy
Experience
- 8+ years of demonstrated experience in a digital agency or marketing department
- Experience reviewing, recommending and implementing new technologies
- Experience in loyalty an asset
- Experience in retail an asset
Education
University degree in marketing, communications or related
Certificates, Licenses or Registration
PMP an asset

There is a frequent need to give close attention, much of the time requiring the use of two or more senses simultaneously.
Mental Stress
The incumbent would be exposed to situations which may cause moderate to considerable mental stress. There are noticeable pressures from unpredictable work hours, interruption to family life, analyzing and forecasting, meeting deadlines, accountability, decision-making or producing accurate work. Considerable concentration is required to focus during lengthy meetings, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and interpret financial and external information. The stress levels felt would not be noticeably disruptive to the work nor should the unpleasant reaction be strong or persistent.
