Title: School Psychologist

Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba

Our client, a leading school in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is seeking a dedicated and qualified School Psychologist to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing psychological services to students, families, and school staff in order to support the academic, emotional, and social development of students.

Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with students to address academic, emotional, and behavioral issues
– Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop intervention plans and strategies for students with special needs
– Administer and interpret psychological assessments to identify learning disabilities, cognitive impairments, and social-emotional issues
– Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
– Provide crisis intervention and support to students and families in times of need
– Stay current on best practices in the field of school psychology and participate in professional development activities as required

Qualifications:
– Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
– Certification as a School Psychologist in the province of Manitoba
– Experience working in a school setting with diverse student populations
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team
