We are committed to quality and excellence in all our endeavors.Job SummaryICF is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Energy Intern to join our program implementation team in the Utility Programs and Services Division. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to support clients and projects that promote energy efficiency.This is a 10-week, full-time program that typically begins in early June and concludes in mid-August. The intern will work a hybrid schedule, generally reporting to the Ottawa office one day per week. Please note that relocation nor housing assistance are provided for internships at this time.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with program team members and cross-functional teams to enhance program success.Analyze market trends, partners, and technologies to improve program delivery.Support technical reviews of commercial, institutional and industrial energy efficiency project applications.Conduct energy audits and site visits to program applicant’s facilities.Document review using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) and Adobe Reader.Basic QualificationsCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering or a closely related discipline (with an anticipated graduation date of August 2025 or later)Preferred QualificationsCurrently pursuing a Master’s degree in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering, or a closely related discipline (with an anticipated graduation date of August 2025 or later)Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, remotely, and on projects with dynamic timelines.Experience or interest in energy efficiency, renewable energy, or related trade experience.Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and analysis.Ready to Make a Difference?Join ICF and support efforts in promoting energy efficiency.
