Job description: What is the opportunity?
The Manager, Digital Marketing Technology will act as a solution consultant and a subject matter expert, responsible for administering Salesforce Marketing Cloud projects in the Wealth Management business at RBC.
The ideal candidate will be a great communicator who can translate strategic business requirements from stakeholders into a technical blueprint with actionable items. They will have excellent organization and time management skills and thrive working on multiple projects simultaneously.
The role will be responsible for end-to-end solution delivery and proof-of-concept builds using new products and features within the Marketing Cloud ecosystem including Distributed Marketing, Interaction Studio and more.
This is a newly created position in a growing team of highly supportive Marketing Cloud experts and will report into the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing Technology. You will manage relationships with senior partners in Marketing, Digital, and IT and deliver a high level of business performance, employee engagement, and a superior client experience.
What will you do?
- Develop Marketing Cloud programs using Journey Builder that allow Marketing stakeholders to effectively target and communicate with clients and advisors
- Maintain and troubleshoot Marketing Cloud Connect configurations with Sales Cloud and Financial Services Cloud
- Utilize APIs and triggered sends to build real-time email marketing programs
- Collaborate with product owners, technical leads, and stakeholders to define, pilot, and implement new functionalities and product capabilities within Salesforce Marketing Cloud including Distributed Marketing
- Work on strategic implementations of preference center management using Cloud Pages and ampscript
- Design and build integrations with external data sources into Salesforce Marketing Cloud
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 3+ years of experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Experience with SQL development and design skills
- Understanding of CASL/CAN-SPAM/GDPR
Nice to Have
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (e.g. Email Specialist, Developer, Consultant, and/or Administrator)
- Experience with HTML and ampscript
- Experience with other Salesforce Clouds, such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Datorama and Evergage
- Experience in leading complex integrated solutions including data modeling, database design, and multi-tier architectures
