Description:
Waste Pro has an immediate Opening for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Under general supervision, the Accounts Payable Clerk performs various accounts payable functions supporting the accounting department by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Match purchase orders to invoices and enter invoices in the computer.
2. Record the month-end accrual expenses as well as making any necessary accrual journal entries.
3. Reconcile vendor statements and discrepancies.
4. Request W-9 forms from new vendors and set them up in MAS200.
5. Prepare yearly 1099’s for vendors at year-end.
6. Verify that vendor accounts are current.

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Employees conform to and support all company TQM procedures and processes.
* Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
* Perform any other assignment deemed necessary by the Company.
* Work with regional and corporate personnel to ensure that overall goals and objectives are accomplished.

Requirements:
* Associates degree in Accounting or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Math skills must be demonstrated by passing a test.
* Ability to deal with detailed information and perform basic math functions.
* Ability to effectively communicate (both written and oral) with managers, employees and external agencies.
* Must have considerable accounting, data entry and telephone skills.
* Knowledgeable on Microsoft Word, Excel, and 10-key.
