Job Summary
Our goal is to make Compass Group Canada the most innovative food service company in Canada and this role will be incredibly impactful in shaping our go to market experience and understanding how to leverage technology and data to drive superior sales. This role requires a hands-on individual who can lead and execute while building the marketing team and will be responsible for building a data-driven, high-performance marketing function that delivers consistent, capital-efficient results.
Now, if you were to come on board as our Vice President of Retail and Digital Marketing, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Define overall marketing strategy and lead its implementation.
- Own budgets, plans, programs, vendor relationships, and KPIs across all marketing disciplines—brand, messaging digital, demand gen, customer, product, channel, and sales enablement
- 100% focus on driving superior LFL performance in multiple retail sectors
- Develop all retail promotions for culinary and CPG products on site
- Leverage our research department to drive consumer insight and programs to create and innovate our on-site experience
- Develop KPI’s and a data focused culture on consumer metrics and financial performance
- Tech savy in developing marketing programs to leverage our digital experience and apps
- Ability to leverage our large partnerships with major CPG organizations to drive LFL
- Develop talent and create a high-performance culture
- Ability to work with multiple sectors while treating them as your core customer

- 5+ years in a marketing leadership role, with experience hiring and managing high-performing teams.
- Demonstrable success creating a growth strategy and driving measurable results, including owning a revenue and pipeline number.
- Passion for data-driven marketing and strong working knowledge of marketing technology
- MBA or master’s degree in related field and professional designation
- Driven, entrepreneurial and charismatic services leader with a strong track record of driving growth.
