As a company, we’re an experienced bunch of researchers, designers and engineers who are passionate about innovation and technology.The Business Development Associate will be a member of our Growth team, reporting to the Director, Growth. In this role, you will use our ICPs to find potential partners, gather insights about the company, and identify opportunities for collaboration. In addition to research, you will also be responsible for personalizing cold emails and successfully initiating conversations with prospects.Responsibilities

  • Leverage information in our ICPs to identify potential partners
  • Research on the prospective client’s current state, business needs, and time-sensitive opportunities
  • Determine the prospect’s interest in product ideation, user experience design, and digital product development
  • Use email, phone and social media channels to reach out to prospects using customized outreach messages
  • Schedule discovery meetings with 8-10 sales qualified leads (SQLs) per month on behalf of leadership team
  • Updating and keeping detailed notes in our CRM
  • Work with Director, Growth and product teams to create sales and marketing collateral
  • Build a deep understanding of our business products, processes and operations, and remain up-to-date on industry news
  • Search for RFPs opportunities through company websites and industry tools

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Self-starter who has a desire to learn, grow, and excel in their role
  • Knowledge of business processes and organizational structures
  • Interest in technology and digital product development
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or similar

Assets

  • Demonstrated achievement in B2B sales
  • Experience initiating relationships with mid-size and enterprise level clients
  • Experience working with technology-based startups
  • Familiarity with user experience design, agile methodology, and software engineering
  • Ideally 1-3 years of professional experience
