- Present and demonstrate the product range and associated benefits for customers
- Negotiate sales contracts and associated training and implementation milestones
- Develop financial and personnel budgets for approval by senior management
- Identify, foster and leverage relationships with internal stakeholders, customers and industry contacts supporting the attainment of the goals for the business
- Work collaboratively with the Product Management team to provide insights into client and industry product requirements as well as potential developments which will set Hexagon apart from its competitors
- Represent Hexagon Mining in industry events and tradeshows and collaborate with the Product Management & Marketing team, and Sales & Account Management teams to prepare for such events
- Represent the business in industry associations where appropriate to advance the interests of the Hexagon Mining
- Prepare periodic sales reports and forecasts as required.
- Liaise with Finance department for management of receivables.
- Compliance with all of Hexagon’s policies and procedures
- Other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time
Knowledge and Experience – Required:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Mining Engineering or Geology with a working knowledge of the products, competitors and client base within the applicable territory with a focus on Underground technology products in the mineral extraction space.
- Proven successful sales and/or account management track record is essential
- Considerable commercial experience in the mining/geology industry – highly desirable
- Commercial experience dealing with technical products and solutions used by the mining and mineral exploration industry is essential
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience
Knowledge and Experience – Desired:
- Strong presentation skills especially to groups and forums of customers.
- An aptitude for developing plans and strategies to succeed
- Multi-lingual: English is a pre-requisite; French is highly desirable
- A passion for achieving business goals and sales targets
- Advanced skills in developing and maintaining strong strategic relationships
- A passion for superior product delivery and customer service and an appreciation for the need for a positive end-user experience
- Keen interest in technology
Travel:
- Domestic travel up to 50% of the time with the possibility of limited international travel.
