The Job:
We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist to focus on building machine learning models within the Lighting Management Systems team. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of data sources and types, and to provide innovative techniques to support the Smart infrastructure of the IoT world. Using your expertise, you will develop, validate, and deploy machine learning models that will drive business value throughout the company. You will also work with cross-functional teams to understand business goals, and will develop models that will optimize outcomes, enhance products, reduce costs, and improve processes. You will be tasked with ensuring that technical architecture and operational support of the machine learning models is efficient and sustainable.
What You’ll Do
– Identify, collect, explore, and prep data to aid in the validation and deployment of machine learning models
– Build, validate, and deploy machine learning models
– Develop and maintain technical architecture and operational support for machine learning models
– Collaborate across functions to identify and evaluate potential models
– Stay current with the latest technology and industry trends
What You’ll Need
– Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
– 3+ years of experience in machine learning modeling techniques and algorithms
– Experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, or R
– Ability to work within a collaborative and cross-functional team
– Strong communication and problem-solving skills
– Knowledge or experience with data and machine learning tools such as Spark, Hadoop, etc. is a plus
