We are currently looking for an 8-month co-op/intern to join our Finance team from May to December 2024. Ideal candidates have a strong track record of leadership and analytical skills through academic, extracurricular or volunteer activities.
As a Finance Intern, you will be provided a robust work plan designed to help you develop the leadership and analytical skills needed to become a future Finance leader. As a Finance Intern, some of the activities you may be involved in include:
Provide Financial analysis to assist Customer & Brand teams in decision making across a wide range of business or financial problems (innovation, advertising, sales promotion, and other investments)
Analyze actual performance vs plan/forecast and recommend courses of action to achieve customer/brand goals and to ensure profitable operations consistent with sound business management
Provide oversight to Trade Spending including making recommendations for allocation of Trade funds, performing pre and post event analysis to optimize return on investment and communicating funding requirements
Assist with month-end reporting duties
Actively participate in projects as part of cross-functional teams, build strong relationships with the Sales and Marketing teams and collaborate on activities and solutions that lead to profitable growth
Assist with SAP S/4HANA implementation including report creation, testing, trouble shooting, etc.
Lead special projects as required

About You

Required Qualifications:
Currently in 3rd or 4th year university BComm program with a Finance, Accounting or Economics focus
Available for an 8-month intern/co-op beginning May 2024 – 40 hours per week – hybrid schedule out of our Mississauga Office
Possess natural leadership and business skills, demonstrated in academic and/or extracurricular activities
Advanced analytical proficiency in Excel, strong business judgment, problem-solving and analytical skills
Collaborative and be able to thrive in a team-based environment
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Self-starter with demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and competing time demands
Can pass a pre-employment assessment and a pre-employment background screening
Authorized to work in Canada on a regular full-time basis – now and in the future
