Responsible for the strategy and management of paid social and search media campaigns across our Torstar brands. You will use paid media to promote our brands, find new audiences, drive more traffic to our websites and ultimately to convert to paying subscribers.
- Develop, execute and optimize leading-edge digital campaigns from conception to launch. This includes Social, Search, Retargeting, Content Promotion, Display, etc.
- Develop and execute strategies to grow social fan groups
- Work cross-departmentally to align campaign strategies and goals with teams responsible for earned and owned media
- Manage agency partner – challenging performance and extracting actionable insights to drive continuous improvement from campaigns
- Conduct in-depth keyword and website research, ad grouping and audience targeting
- Use paid channels efficiently with upper funnel initiatives to increase brand visibility, drive more traffic to our websites and to reach new audiences online.
- Use paid channels efficiently with lower funnel initiatives to drive conversions in mobile app downloads, paid subscriptions and newsletter sign up’s
- Manage paid media budget driving for continuous improvements in cost per acquisition. Supports ways to automate account management for greater efficiency
- Determine opportunities for program expansion including new features, platform policy changes, new tech, news audiences/targeting parameters, setting strategic tone and path forward
- Proven working experience in digital social and search media marketing
- Managing search and social ad buying agencies
- Knowledge of content marketing and industry best practices and new technologies preferred
