Job Description:
Our client, a leading food manufacturer, is currently seeking a Quality Control Technician to join their team in Scarborough, ON. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing quality control checks on raw materials and finished products, maintaining accurate records of testing results, and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality regulations. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in food science or a related field and a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
– Conducting quality control tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products
– Documenting and analyzing testing results to identify any deviations from specifications
– Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all quality control tests
– Identifying and reporting any non-conformances and taking corrective actions as necessary
– Ensuring compliance with food safety and quality regulations, as well as company standards
– Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues
– Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality control processes

Qualifications:
– Diploma or degree in food science, chemistry, or a related field
– Previous experience in a quality control role within the food industry is an asset
