Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Toronto, ON

Our client, a well-established company based in Toronto, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional looking to take the next step in their career.

Responsibilities:

– Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP
– Manage general ledger and assist with month-end close processes
– Perform account reconciliations and variance analysis
– Assist with budgeting and forecasting
– Prepare and analyze financial reports
– Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
– Provide support for audits and tax filings
– Supervise and mentor junior staff as needed

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
– CPA designation preferred
– 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
– Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
– Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
