Job description:

We are looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join our team at Rogers Communications. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data analysis and a strong background in statistical analysis and data mining. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting data to support decision-making and business growth.

Responsibilities:
– Collect and analyze data to identify trends and insights
– Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
– Acquire data from primary and secondary sources and maintain databases/data systems
– Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
– Filter and “clean” data, and review computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
– Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs
– Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or Statistics
– Proficient in Excel, SQL, and statistical software
– Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
– Ability to present findings in a clear and meaningful way
– Background in telecommunications industry is an asset
