Title: Assistant Merchandiser
Location: Brossard, Quebec, Canada

Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Merchandiser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Merchandising Manager in developing and executing plans to maximize sales and profitability. You will assist in analyzing sales data, monitoring inventory levels, and communicating with vendors to ensure the availability of products. Additionally, you will collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling product displays and promotions.

Key Responsibilities:
– Assist Merchandising Manager in developing merchandising strategies to achieve sales targets
– Analyze sales data and track inventory levels to identify trends and opportunities
– Communicate with vendors to negotiate pricing, place orders, and coordinate deliveries
– Collaborate with marketing team to create visually appealing product displays and promotions
– Monitor competition and market trends to stay ahead of the curve
– Support Merchandising Manager in preparing reports and presentations for senior management

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, or related field
– 2+ years of experience in retail merchandising or buying
– Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
– Excellent communication and negotiation skills
– Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
– Experience with retail software systems is a plus
