Position: Assistant Controller

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia

Salary: Competitive salary based on experience

Our client, a leading manufacturing company in Vancouver, is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their finance team. The successful candidate will report directly to the Controller and will be responsible for assisting with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key responsibilities:

– Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
– Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management
– Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
– Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial information
– Support the Controller with ad hoc projects as needed

Qualifications:

– CPA designation or working towards completion
– Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
– Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
– Advanced Excel skills
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
