Job Description

Position: Research Associate – Clinical Diagnostics Development

Location: Toronto, ON

Salary: Competitive salary based on experience

Duration: Full-time, permanent

Our client, a growing biotech company focused on the development of cutting-edge diagnostic tools, is seeking a Research Associate to join their team in Toronto. The successful candidate will work on the development of novel diagnostic assays, in close collaboration with scientists and other team members. The ideal candidate will have a background in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related fields, with experience in assay development and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
– Design and execute experiments to develop and optimize diagnostic assays
– Analyze and interpret experimental data, and present findings to team members
– Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of scientists
– Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures and results
– Contribute to the preparation of scientific reports and publications

Requirements:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related fields
– 2+ years of experience in assay development or related research
– Strong hands-on experience with a variety of molecular biology techniques
– Excellent organizational and communication skills
– Ability to work independently and in a team environment
