Description:

Bureau Veritas is seeking a highly motivated Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the company complies with federal, provincial, and local regulations as they pertain to our operations. This individual will work closely with key stakeholders to develop and implement compliance strategies, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

– Monitor changes in regulations and policies that may impact the company
– Develop and implement compliance programs to ensure adherence to regulations
– Conduct regular audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement
– Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance issues
– Work with regulators and industry groups to stay informed on best practices
– Investigate and resolve any compliance-related issues that may arise
– Prepare reports and presentations on compliance activities for management and regulatory agencies

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. environmental science, engineering, law)
– 3+ years of experience in regulatory compliance or a related field
– Strong knowledge of federal, provincial, and local regulations
– Excellent communication and organizational skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
