Job Description

Position: Researcher – Civil Litigation

Location: Toronto, ON

Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 per year

A reputable law firm in Toronto is seeking a Researcher specialized in Civil Litigation to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting reports, analyzing documents, and providing support to the legal team on cases involving civil litigation.

Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct legal research on cases related to civil litigation
– Review and analyze legal documents, statutes, and case law
– Prepare reports and summaries of findings
– Draft legal documents such as briefs, motions, and memorandums
– Provide support to the legal team in preparing for trials and hearings
– Assist in case preparation and management
– Stay up-to-date on changes to laws and regulations related to civil litigation

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation research
– Strong research and analytical skills
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Knowledge of legal research tools and databases
– Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
