Domtar Corporation is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in Oakville, ON. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing HR support to business leaders and employees. This role will involve working closely with management to develop HR strategies, policies, and initiatives that align with company goals.
Responsibilities:
– Partner with business leaders to provide strategic HR support and guidance
– Drive the performance management process, including coaching and supporting managers in goal setting and performance feedback
– Lead employee relations initiatives, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions
– Implement HR policies and procedures that comply with legal requirements and promote a positive work environment
– Collaborate with the HR team on various projects and initiatives, such as talent acquisition, succession planning, and employee engagement programs
– Provide guidance on workforce planning, organizational design, and change management
– Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
– 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
– HR certification (CHRP, CHRL, or equivalent) is an asset
– Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment legislation
– Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Proficiency in MS Office applications
