Bimbo Canada is seeking a Marketing Vice President in Etobicoke, ON. This strategic leadership position requires a seasoned marketer with strong leadership skills to lead the company’s marketing efforts.
Title: School Librarian

Location: Gatineau, Quebec

Salary: Competitive salary based on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

1. Manage, organize, and update school library collections to ensure accessibility and relevance to students and staff.
2. Assist students and teachers in locating resources, information, and materials for class projects, research, and leisure reading.
3. Develop and implement programs, activities, and events to promote reading and literacy among students.
4. Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into the curriculum and support instructional goals.
5. Maintain library equipment and technology, including computers, printers, and databases.
6. Monitor library budget and expenditures, order new materials as needed, and track inventory.
7. Provide guidance and support to students in using library resources effectively and developing information literacy skills.
8. Stay current on trends in library science, educational technology, and information literacy instruction.
9. Participate in professional development opportunities and attend conferences, workshops, and seminars.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Education, or related field.
2. Experience working in a school library setting is preferred.
3. Strong organizational and time management skills.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and administrators.
6. Proficiency in using library automation systems and educational technology tools.
7. Knowledge of library cataloging, classification, and collection development practices.
8. Commitment to promoting reading, literacy, and lifelong learning.
9. French language proficiency is an asset.
10. Valid teaching certification or library certification is preferred.
