Position: Clinical Assistant

Location: Toronto, ON

Our healthcare clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Assistant to join our team. The Clinical Assistant will work under the supervision of healthcare professionals to provide support in delivering high-quality patient care. They will assist in performing various clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs, collecting medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations.

Responsibilities:
– Prepare exam rooms and ensure they are properly stocked and sanitized
– Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain their medical history
– Assist healthcare professionals during medical procedures and examinations
– Collect and record patient vital signs, height, weight, and other relevant information
– Perform basic lab tests and prepare specimens for testing
– Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
– Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and self-care instructions
– Maintain medical records and update patient information in electronic health records system

Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
– Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
– Compassionate and patient-focused attitude
– Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
