Title: Garden Centre Sales Assistant

Location: Mississauga, ON

Salary: $15 – $18 per hour

Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Garden Centre Sales Assistant to join our team in Mississauga, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining the garden centre’s cleanliness and organization, assisting customers with plant selections, and processing sales transactions.

Responsibilities:

– Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
– Help customers select plants, containers, and garden accessories
– Provide information and advice on plant care and cultivation
– Water, prune, and maintain plants to ensure they are healthy and attractive
– Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
– Keep the garden centre clean and organized
– Assist with inventory management and restocking products
– Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications:

– Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is preferred
– Knowledge of plants, gardening, and horticulture is an asset
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
– Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
– Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, such as bags of soil or plants
– Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
