Job Description:

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the overall operation and performance of a retail store. This includes overseeing sales, customer service, inventory management, and employee development. The Assistant Store Manager will help drive sales and profitability by providing excellent customer service, developing and coaching staff, and ensuring that the store is properly stocked and merchandised.

Key Responsibilities:

– Manage daily store operations, including sales, inventory management, and customer service
– Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies to increase revenue
– Train and develop staff to provide excellent customer service and meet sales goals
– Ensure store cleanliness and organization, including stock levels and presentation
– Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations
– Monitor sales and inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
– Work closely with the Store Manager to ensure store goals and targets are met

Qualifications:

– High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
– 2+ years of retail management experience
– Strong leadership and communication skills
– Excellent customer service skills
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
– Knowledge of retail operations and inventory management
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail software systems
