Job Description:
Orcutt & Associates Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with expertise in rail systems to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mechanical systems and components for rail transportation projects. This role will involve working on a variety of projects, including rolling stock, signal systems, and station infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
– Designing and developing mechanical components and systems for rail transportation projects
– Performing calculations, analysis, and simulations to ensure the reliability and safety of mechanical systems
– Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electrical and software components
– Participating in design reviews, testing, and validation of mechanical systems
– Supporting the production and manufacturing of mechanical components
– Providing technical documentation and support to project managers and clients
– Contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and best practices

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
– Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and development of mechanical systems for rail transportation
– Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations for rail systems
– Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools
– Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
– Strong communication and teamwork abilities
– Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
