Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in Markham, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial reports, analyzing data, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the finance team to support the overall financial operations of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
– Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
– Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures
– Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts
– Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
– Prepare and review financial statements for accuracy and completeness
– Assist with tax preparation and compliance
– Identify areas for process improvements and develop strategies for increased efficiency
– Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
– CPA designation or working towards completion is preferred
– 3+ years of experience in a similar role
– Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
– Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
