Title: Veterinary Assistant

Location: Centralia, WA

Description:

Our animal hospital is currently seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a passion for providing high-quality care to pets. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will assist the veterinarians and technicians with various tasks such as restraining animals, taking X-rays, administering medications, and educating clients on pet care.

Responsibilities:
– Assisting veterinarians and technicians with procedures and treatments
– Restraining animals during examinations and procedures
– Preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment
– Performing laboratory tests such as bloodwork and urinalysis
– Maintaining accurate medical records
– Educating clients on pet care and answering their questions
– Providing compassionate care to all animals
– Assisting the front desk with scheduling appointments and checking clients in and out

Requirements:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Previous experience working with animals preferred
– Ability to lift and restrain animals
– Excellent communication and customer service skills
– Detail-oriented and able to follow directions accurately
– Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
– Knowledge of basic animal care and medical terminology

Expected salary: $112280 – 149247 per year
