Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data engineering tools such as dbt, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks.
  • Architect and manage data warehouse and data lake solutions, including Snowflake and Azure Synapse.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand data needs.
  • Integrate data from diverse structured and unstructured sources, including APIs, databases, and cloud storage.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance through validation and monitoring, applying best practices in security, compliance, and privacy for sensitive datasets.
  • Optimize queries and data models for performance and scalability.
  • Implement and maintain data infrastructure in cloud environments, particularly Azure.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to data architecture, lineage, and technical flows.
  • Maintain code and data repositories.
  • Support business analysts in developing project plans, identifying scope, defining deliverables, planning milestones, providing status updates, establishing proper communication, and mitigating any roadblocks.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management of Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least three years of experience in the data field.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience working on data projects with an understanding of data management, data modeling, BI, and analytics concepts.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and Medallion architecture.
  • Experience with Cloud Data Services and Big Data tools & technologies. Specific technologies include:
    • Snowflake
    • dbt
    • Databricks
    • Azure (ADF, ADLSgen2, Container Instances)
    • Microsoft Power Platform
  • Exposure to both Agile and waterfall frameworks.
  • Experience in the hospitality field is a plus.
