Job Description

Position: Quality Assurance Assistant

Location: Mississauga, ON

Salary: $45,000 – $50,000 per year

A reputable food manufacturing company is seeking a Quality Assurance Assistant to join their team in Mississauga, ON. The successful candidate will support the Quality Assurance Manager in ensuring that the company’s products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

– Conduct quality control tests and inspections on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products
– Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards
– Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance procedures and systems
– Investigate and address any quality issues or non-conformances
– Generate and maintain quality control reports and documentation
– Work closely with production and other departments to resolve quality-related issues
– Participate in internal and external audits

Qualifications:

– Post-secondary education in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field
– 1-2 years of experience in a quality assurance role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment
– Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations
– Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
