Job Description:

If you have a passion for baking and enjoy working in a fast-paced retail environment, then we want to hear from you. Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Clerk to join our team at our Castro Valley location.

As a Bakery Clerk, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and ensuring that all bakery products are fresh and of high quality.

Key responsibilities:
– Assist customers with their bakery product selections and provide information about ingredients and product offerings
– Prepare and package bakery items such as bread, cakes, pastries, and donuts
– Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery department, including product displays and storage areas
– Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
– Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking bakery products
– Collaborate with the bakery team to ensure that all production and baking tasks are completed in a timely manner
– Follow company policies and procedures, including pricing, signage, and promotions
– Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment

Qualifications:
– Previous experience in a bakery or retail environment is preferred, but not required
– Strong customer service and communication skills
– Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
– Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions
– Willingness to learn and be a team player
– Flexibility to work a varying schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
