This position is responsible for overseeing content-based initiatives within the government, reporting to the Manager of Geomatics Partnership and Policy. The role requires experience in project and portfolio management, as well as knowledge of spatial database design. The individual will also be expected to have experience in working with and possibly leading teams.
Title: IT Support Specialist

Location: Halifax, NS

Salary: $70,000 – $90,000 a year

Job Description:

Our company is seeking a talented and experienced IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team in Halifax, NS. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s IT systems, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

– Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues
– Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems
– Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring security and stability
– Manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring data security and integrity
– Assist with IT projects, including system upgrades and software installations
– Keep up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
– 3+ years of experience in IT support roles
– Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems
– Experience with network administration and troubleshooting
– Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
