Job Description:

We are looking for a friendly and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team in Burnaby, BC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the dentist during a variety of dental procedures and ensuring that patients are comfortable and well-cared for.

Responsibilities:

– Prepare patients for dental procedures by taking their medical history and explaining the treatment plan
– Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments, holding suction devices, and taking dental x-rays
– Sterilize and maintain dental equipment
– Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices
– Schedule and confirm appointments
– Maintain accurate patient records

Qualifications:

– Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) preferred
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
– Experience with dental software programs
– Knowledge of infection control protocols
