Associate Data Scientist

*Location: Stratford, ON (Remote during COVID-19)

Overview:
Our client, a leading financial services company, is seeking an Associate Data Scientist to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and deployment of machine learning models to drive business insights and decisions.

Responsibilities:
– Assist in data collection, cleaning, and pre-processing
– Support the development of predictive and prescriptive models using statistical and machine learning techniques
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and develop data-driven solutions
– Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and correlations in the data
– Communicate results and insights to stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner
– Contribute to the overall improvement of data science processes and methodologies

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
– 2+ years of experience in data analysis and modeling
– Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R
– Hands-on experience with machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, Keras, Scikit-learn)
– Familiarity with SQL and database management
– Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
– Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
