Job Description:
– Assist in the planning and coordination of all activities related to the mining operations of sand and gravel, including but not limited to equipment maintenance, production scheduling, and safety protocols.
– Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of the mine, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources to meet production targets and quality standards.
– Work closely with the Mine Manager to develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
– Supervise and provide guidance to the mining team, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
– Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with maintenance and repair teams to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
– Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and address potential safety hazards or environmental concerns.
– Maintain accurate records of production, equipment maintenance, and workforce activities, and provide regular reports to management.
– Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for mining personnel to enhance skills, promote safety awareness, and improve overall operational performance.
– Act as a key liaison between the mining team, management, and other departments to ensure open communication and efficient problem-solving.
– Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices, and contribute to the development of long-term strategic plans for the mining operations.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
– Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mining operations, preferably in sand and gravel mining.
– Strong knowledge of mining equipment, processes, and safety regulations.
– Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
– Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software applications.
