The Administrative Assistant I reports to the Manager of Ambulatory Care & Regional Poison Centre and is responsible for providing high-quality administrative support, including preparing reports, project documents, correspondences, and photocopying and distributing materials.

Job description:
Our client, a global industry leader in the design and manufacture of specialty electronic equipment, is seeking an Applications Engineering Manager to join their team in Victoria, BC. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of applications engineers in providing technical support to customers and sales teams, managing new product development projects, and ensuring the successful integration and deployment of the company’s products into customer applications.
Key responsibilities:
– Lead and manage a team of applications engineers, providing technical guidance, support, and mentorship
– Work closely with sales teams to understand customer requirements and strategically position the company’s products
– Manage new product development projects, including defining project scope, timelines, and resource requirements
– Coordinate and execute product testing, pilot projects, and customer trials
– Act as a technical liaison between customers, internal engineering teams, and suppliers
– Provide technical training and support to customers and sales teams
– Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance, quality, and customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field
– 5+ years of experience in applications engineering, product management, or a similar technical role
– Strong leadership and project management skills
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
– Knowledge of electronic equipment and systems design
– Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant tools
