Security Guard

A valid provincial security guard licence is required

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Security Guard to join our team. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.

Responsibilities:

– Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish a visible presence
– Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property
– Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
– Secure all exits, doors, and windows after hours
– Monitor surveillance cameras
– Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
– Conduct security checks over a specified area
– Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
– Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons

Qualifications:

– Proven work experience as a Security Guard or relevant position
– Trained security officer with a diploma
– Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
– Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
– Surveillant skills and detail-oriented
– Integrity and professionalism
– High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification (e.g. CPR) is a plus
