Description:

At J. D. Irving, Limited, you are part of an energetic team of professionals who lead with integrity and are passionate about achieving results. As a Legal Assistant in our Research/Dawson office, you will provide support to our legal team in various administrative and clerical tasks. Your responsibilities will include:

– Assisting with the preparation of legal documents, correspondence, and reports
– Organizing and maintaining legal files and other records
– Conducting legal research and analysis
– Coordinating and scheduling appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements
– Providing general administrative support to the legal team
– Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

– Diploma or certificate in Legal Administration, Paralegal Studies, or related field
– 1-2 years of experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
– Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and in a team environment
– Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures is an asset
