Field Marketing Representatives work for a well-known marketing agency in Canada and represent trusted, iconic brands to consumers in-store. They educate clients about the products and offerings, and help establish a connection between the brand and the consumer. This role requires strong communication and customer service skills to effectively promote and sell the products.
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Receptionist to undertake a variety of day-to-day office and clerical tasks. You will be an integral part in ensuring that our office operations run smoothly and are successful in supporting other business activities.
An excellent receptionist must be friendly, have a positive attitude and be able to cope with different personalities. You should have good knowledge of office management and basic bookkeeping practices. Your role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication and safety.
Responsibilities:
– Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
– Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
– Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
– Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
– Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
– Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
– Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
– Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
– Update calendars and schedule meetings
– Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
Requirements:
– Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
– Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
– Professional attitude and appearance
– Solid written and verbal communication skills
– Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
– Excellent organizational skills
– Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
– Customer service attitude
