Job Description:

Our long-term care facility is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing direct care to patients, administering medications, and assisting with daily activities. The Licensed Practical Nurse will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
– Provide direct care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician
– Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
– Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating
– Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes to the healthcare team
– Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
– Ensure patient safety and confidentiality at all times

Qualifications:
– Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta
– CPR certification
– Previous experience working in a long-term care facility is preferred
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
