Job Description:

Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team in Barrie, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and analyses to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.

Key Responsibilities:

– Collect and process specimens for analysis
– Perform various tests using automated equipment and manual methods
– Maintain accurate records of all tests and results
– Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
– Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
– Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities
– Stay current with advances in laboratory technology and procedures

Qualifications:

– Completion of a recognized Medical Laboratory Technologist program
– Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario
– Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends
