Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: Experience an asset

Counter Attendant and Food Preparer Skills: Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs; Package take-out food; Stock refrigerators and salad bars; Serve customers at counters or buffet tables; Portion and wrap foods; Keep records of the quantities of food used

Dishwashing Skills: Scour pots and pans; Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand; Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units

Equipment and Machinery Experience: Vegetable cutter; Food dispensers; Conventional ovens; Electronic cash register

Work Setting: Business and/or industry

Specific Skills: Organize and maintain inventory; Clean kitchen and work areas; Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit; Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas; Remove kitchen garbage and trash; Handle and store cleaning products; Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment; Handle and store cleaning products; Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors

Additional Skills: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance

Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available
