Introduction

Our client is looking for an experienced Sr. Data Engineer that is passionate about building scalable data platforms and applications. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and work on cutting-edge technology projects.

Responsibilities

– Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data processing infrastructure
– Work closely with data scientists and analysts to implement data-driven solutions to complex business problems
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and develop appropriate data models
– Build and maintain data APIs and microservices
– Optimize and tune data infrastructure and applications for performance and scalability
– Implement best practices for data security, privacy, and compliance
– Mentor junior members of the team and provide technical guidance and leadership
– Stay up-to-date with emerging data technologies and continuously improve data engineering practices and processes

Requirements

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
– 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
– Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or similar
– Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or similar
– Strong background in database design, SQL, and data warehousing concepts
– Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
– Knowledge of distributed computing, containerization, and orchestration technologies
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills
– Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and deliver high-quality solutions within deadlines
