Job Description

Security Officer

Location: Burlington, ON

Salary: $17.00 per hour

Industry leader in security services is looking for dedicated and dependable security officers to join their team in Burlington, ON. As a security officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers, employees, and visitors by patrolling, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, and permitting entry.

Responsibilities:

– Patrol premises on foot or in vehicle to ensure the safety and security of the property
– Monitor surveillance equipment to detect and deter suspicious activities
– Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
– Control access points, including checking identification and enforcing visitor policies
– Write reports of daily activities and incidents
– Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and clients

Requirements:

– Valid security guard license in Ontario
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Excellent communication skills
– Strong observational and problem-solving abilities
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods of time
