Location: Vancouver, BC

Salary: $100,000 – $120,000

Job Description:

Our client, a fast-growing start-up in the tech industry, is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join their team in Vancouver, BC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with experience in designing and implementing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions.

Responsibilities:
– Lead the design and development of data pipelines and ETL processes
– Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand data needs
– Implement data warehousing solutions and optimize database performance
– Develop and maintain data architecture and data models
– Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers
– Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support data-driven decision-making

Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
– 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on designing and implementing data pipelines and ETL processes
– Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or other programming languages
– Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
– Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices
– Excellent communication and leadership skills
