Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Location: Toronto, ON

Description:
Our client, a leading hospital in Toronto, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their Emergency Department team. The successful candidate will use their clinical expertise to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This position requires excellent critical thinking skills, communication abilities, and a passion for emergency medicine.

Key Responsibilities:
– Assess patient conditions and implement appropriate nursing care plans
– Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care
– Administer medications, injections, and other treatments as ordered
– Monitor patient vitals and response to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary
– Educate patients and families on healthcare practices and post-discharge instructions
– Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
– Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

Qualifications:
– Registered Nurse (RN) certification in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
– Minimum 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting
– Current BLS certification
– ACLS and PALS certification is an asset
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work effectively in a team environment
– Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
