Job Description:

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Alton, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing respiratory care services in accordance with specific physician’s orders, department policies, procedures, and protocols. Responsibilities include assessing patient respiratory care needs, performing therapeutic procedures, managing mechanical ventilators, and providing patient education. The Registered Respiratory Therapist will also be responsible for documentation and communication with other healthcare team members.

Qualifications:

– Graduate of an approved respiratory care program
– Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care
– Current licensure to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of Illinois
– BLS certification
– ACLS certification preferred
– Experience in a hospital setting preferred
