Join Roche, where every voice matters.The PositionAs an Intern in our Portfolio Delivery Pods within Data Strategy and Delivery at PD Data Sciences, you’ll take on the role of Data Quality Lead in Clinical Data Management. Collaborate with experts to manage data life cycles for research and clinical development. Work with peers across the organization to build effective data management solutions, following F.A.I.R. (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) principles. Ensure timely data deliverables and partner with external business partners and vendors to maintain high-quality data. Contribute to initiatives that craft our technical and business landscape. You’ll need strong strategic, collaboration, and communication skills, along with an entrepreneurial mindset, to innovate data collection and delivery for developing medicines.The Opportunity:Develop risk management strategies and handle timelines for successful study and project delivery, including new technology adoption.Engage proactively with stakeholders to understand their needs, influence decision-making, and advise them of key deliverables and landmarks.Collaborate on external data vendor selection and management, ensuring data transfer agreements meet standards and fit-for-purpose models.Advise on best practices, propose innovative solutions, and ensure high-quality, compliant data collection through application of FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) principles.Adopt and implement modern data tools and applications, and use surveillance tools to identify data patterns or anomalies. Demonstrating a strong understanding of the data flow from collection through to analysis and filing.Partner with stakeholders for data insight needs, offer Data Management solutions, and provide technical guidance to ensure high-quality data collection and delivery.Who you are:You hold BSc or Life Sciences, Data/Computer Science or Bioinformatics or equivalent experience.You are currently enrolled in a Masters in Biomedical Discovery and Commercialization or Masters in Biotechnology program.Interns must be enrolled in a degree granting institution at the START of their internship.Tight-knit collaboration, excellent communication (proficiency in English), and project management skills.Ability to balance multiple priorities, demonstrate leadership in decision-making, negotiation, motivation, and influencing.Experience with data analytics/visualization, an ambitious attitude, scientific curiosity, and knowledge of biological principles.Additional Information:Location: Hybrid, Based in Mississauga (minimum 3 days in the office)Hours: full-time (35 hours per week)Length: This position is a 12-month work term (full-time) and is expected to begin in January 2025Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting.#MBDC&MBiotechWho we areAt Roche, more than 100,000 people across 100 countries are pushing back the frontiers of healthcare.
