Security Officer Job Description

Responsibilities:

– Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure the security and safety of all personnel and visitors
– Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms to detect any suspicious activity
– Respond to emergencies and alarms in a timely and professional manner
– Conduct checks on staff and visitors entering and exiting the premises
– Enforce security rules and regulations to prevent unauthorized access and ensure compliance with company policies
– Provide assistance and support to employees and clients as needed
– Complete detailed reports of daily activities and incidents
– Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times
– Work collaboratively with other security staff and law enforcement agencies as needed

Qualifications:

– High school diploma or equivalent
– Valid Alberta Security License
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Excellent observational and problem-solving skills
– Physical fitness and ability to stand for long periods of time
– Previous security experience is an asset
