Job Description:

– The Registered Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing respiratory therapy care and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system.
– Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.
– Work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to implement and monitor patient care plans.
– Administer medication and therapy as prescribed by a physician.
– Provide patient, family, and caregiver education and information on techniques for continued care after discharge.
– Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
– Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs to stay updated on current trends and advancements in respiratory therapy.

Requirements:

– Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program.
– Current Respiratory Therapist license in the state of California.
– CPR certification.
– Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC.
– ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
– Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
