An established company in the Edmonton area has a new opportunity for a Data Analyst / Developer to join their team. This is a full-time contract position that offers competitive compensation and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team.

Key responsibilities of the Data Analyst / Developer include:
– Maintaining and analyzing the integrity of databases
– Developing and implementing data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
– Acquiring data from primary and secondary data sources and maintaining databases/data systems
– Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets
– Filtering and “cleaning” data, and reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct problems

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, or related field
– 5+ years of experience working as a data analyst or data developer
– Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
– Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets
– Proficiency with programming languages and database management systems
– Strong verbal and written communication skills
– Ability to work independently or as part of a team
